Martial arts self defense makes a lot of sense when it comes to finding a way to feel safe today. There are many reasons to learn martial arts self defense, but the main one is protection. Confidence in knowing there is a solution if confronted with a potentially violent situation is priceless. Exercise is another reason to learn it. One other means of feeling safe is by learning combat self defense. This can produce many of the same results, but my a different style than martial arts. With either style, the most important aspect is protection from the perils of danger.
